About Us

Redbud Farm School

Welcome Home!

Our 4-acre campus, located just south of SW 149th Street on Pennsylvania Ave in Oklahoma City houses our students in Grades Pre-K through 6th Grade.  Our main building, the “farmhouse”, is arranged to provide a comfortable, inviting, home-like atmosphere for our students.

The “living room” offers students a quiet place to relax while reading a good book or writing about their adventures in their daily farm journal. This area also provides an eating area that is used for indoor lunch, cooking classes, and for preparing the food from our garden. There are individual classrooms for math and science, language and literacy, and small groups. Students rotate between indoor classrooms and outdoor classrooms throughout the day.

Individualized Learning

Redbud Farm School aims to provide families and students with an alternative learning method. We understand that not all children learn the same, so we structure our curriculum to meet the individual needs of each child. This is done through lower teacher-to-student ratios (approximately 1:10), individualized small-group learning, and alternative classroom arrangements.

Students are divided into groups of no more than five students for individual small groups in math and language. Groups are also available in other subjects as needed. In addition, students have multiple seating and classroom arrangement options to meet their individual learning needs. Students may complete assignments at a desk while sitting on a floor pillow at our custom-built coffee table or seated at a desk alone without distractions. Students can choose the learning environment that best meets their needs with a trained teacher’s guidance.

Alternating Indoor and Outdoor Classroom Structure

Students complete alternating indoor and outdoor classroom assignments, which, among its many other benefits, helps maintain student focus during learning time. Students will complete science and math projects, writing assignments, and social studies units in the outdoor classroom.

Statement of Faith

At Redbud Farm School, we are a non-denominational school and do not follow the belief system of any one denomination of Christianity. We believe in the biblical truths of the Holy Bible and welcome families from various denominations.

The following Statement of Faith is not a complete list of our beliefs. We believe the Bible is the final authority on the belief and behaviors of all individuals associated with the school. The School Site Director and Executive Director are responsible for interpretation of policy and faith.

God
We believe that only one God is eternally existent in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30)

Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, and led a sinless life. We believe that Jesus was crucified as a sacrifice for the sins of all people and was resurrected to sit at the right hand of God. He ascended to Heaven but will return to Earth.

The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the one true word of God. It was written by humans but inspired by God. It is infallible and authoritative. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)

Salvation
We believe that we are all sinners but that God has created each of us with a plan and a purpose that can be fulfilled through salvation. Salvation is a gift from God, freely given to those who accept it. We cannot be saved by good works, but only by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and trusting in God’s sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Resurrection
When we accept salvation and turn from relying on ourselves to trusting in God, we will receive eternal life in Heaven. Those who remain lost will receive eternal life of condemnation. (John 5:28-29)

Meet Our Leaders

+ Erin Dulle, M.Ed, Head of School

Hello! My name is Erin Dulle, and I am the owner and Head of School at Redbud Farm School. I am excited to introduce you to a unique learning experience in the South Oklahoma City and Moore communities.

I graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Minor in Business Administration. After discovering my passion for working with children, I then went on to complete my degree in Early Childhood Education from Western Oklahoma State College and, most recently, a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. I am an ACSI Certified Teacher in both Early Education and Elementary Education.

Some of my fondest childhood memories were of playing on our family farm. I vividly remember building forts, damming up the water down at “the creek,” caring for our animals, planting gardens, and even caring for a stray nest of baby mice once (Yes, mice!). It was a rich experience that taught me a great deal of self-confidence, problem-solving skills, responsibility, and a greater appreciation for the world God has created, not to mention the science, math, and motor skills involved in caring for a farm. My dream has always been to give the children and families in our community the same opportunity for hands-on, real-life, meaningful learning.

Our goal at Redbud Farm is to meet the traditional learning standards in a non-traditional way. We strive to be a little “weird” compared to today’s classrooms which require children to sit at desks and complete worksheets most of the day. At Redbud Farm, our students put down their phones and electronics and learn by getting their hands dirty!

I am excited to have your child join us on this exciting journey!

+ David Dulle, Campus Pastor

Dear Families,

My name is David Dulle, and I am the on-staff pastor of Redbud Farm School. My wife, Erin, and I started the school to create a fun and safe environment for students to learn and grow in their faith in Christ, love of nature, and education. We formulate our curriculum to achieve each of these daily.

I graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Ministry, emphasizing Pastoral Care. I have previously worked as an interim youth pastor and understand the dynamic a good program can have on the spiritual understanding of a student. To that end, if needed, I want to be a resource to you and your family.

If read in its historical context and with spiritual reverence, I believe the Bible is the wholly infallible Word of God and is suitable for all instruction. We want to come alongside you as the primary spiritual leaders of your children to assist them in understanding their relationship with Christ and how to get the utmost out of their spiritual walk.

I also believe in the power of prayer. When we pray with a mindset toward Christ’s will and live according to His purpose, I believe Christ will hear and respond to our prayer.

Finally, I believe our children are our greatest assets and ongoing legacy. If we train up a child well, they can change and influence the world around them. For some of our students, that may be in the form of great friendships where they lead others toward Christ through personal influence. Others may become missionaries, pastors, or world leaders, influencing many people. I believe there is no limit to a child’s capacity, and I want to help them unlock their potential.

As I think about our children, I am reminded that the Old and New Testaments have instructions for us regarding how they should be raised.

Solomon, the wisest king to ever live, said,

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭22:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

In Matthew, Jesus is quoted when parents brought their children to Him so he could lay hands on them,

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭19:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

And Paul, notably one of the greatest missionaries and founders of our current church said,

“Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I believe together your family and ours will be able to work towards these goals and see your children become everything that Christ desires them to be.

If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. You can email me at david@redbudfarmschool.com. If you have a prayer request please forward it to me. I pray daily for our students, parents and staff and would love to lift your specific prayers up to the Lord.
